The HBO Max streaming service will enter the Ukrainian market not only with a localized interface, but also plans to invest in the development of a platform for creating Ukrainian dubbing and subtitles. Kenechi Belusevic, HBO Warner Brothers + Discovery’s vice president of business development and distribution, said this in a comment to “Mezhy”.
HBO Max believes that the Ukrainian streaming market is poised for rapid growth. “We see significant potential in Ukraine,” a company representative noted, without disclosing approximate subscription targets in our market.
The company expects that viewers will be interested in a wide catalog of offerings — HBO and Max Originals, the DC universe, Harry Potter films, Warner Bros. releases, and popular TV series. HBO Max plans to replenish the library with new content, taking into account the preferences of the Ukrainian audience.
