From coal to clean energy: myths that we need to stop believing

Today, discussions about the future of energy are increasingly turning into slogans. Some demand the immediate closure of all coal-fired power plants, others – their preservation at all costs. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. Pylyp Travkin: “From coal to clean energy” is a transition without extremes, where technology and common sense are more important than politics.

CCS (carbon capture and storage) reduces emissions by up to 90%, gasification converts coal into hydrogen and synthetic fuels, and digital systems make production safe. Renewable energy is growing, but so far it does not provide stability – coal remains the backbone of the transition.

Travkin emphasizes: “Technology is not a compromise, but a tool. The path from coal to clean energy is not through prohibition, but through engineering evolution.”
